Blizzard's open-minded design philosophy of Burning Crusade is likely to result in a more exciting and difficult experience.

However, some players might be waiting a little longer to learn what the changes are. Blizzard has announced via the Warcraft Devs twitter account that the game was affected by a DDoS attack. The team has warned that this attack could result in increased latency and disconnections for those looking to take advantage of the new expansion. The team has said that they are looking into this issue, however, at the time of writing, no new information has been revealed.

DDoS attacks occur when an individual attempts to interfere with an online service by overloading it with unnecessary calls and other tasks. They're a common occurrence in the online gaming space and in March, one of the players was able to carry one out on LittleBigPlanet's online servers. The increase in traffic which usually follows a major release such as Burning Crusade likely isn't helping WoW's servers to run more smoothly, and will quite possibly lead to more issues for players.

Hopefully Blizzard will fix these issues in the near future and offer its fans with the old World of Warcraft experience they've been looking forward to.
