This is just scratching the surface of OSRS GP the things you could do with the Archaeology Guild. You can create a research team, again with well-known characters, who will work for even when you're not in the game. You can earn your Archaeology certification by completing feats which require the entire skill. Because each dig site has a central mystery, you can learn all you can about it.

Map Expansion, Archaeology. Ah, Dig Sites, you say! Here the skill starts to show its teeth. While you may want to be scrubbing at bones and artifacts using tiny brushes, sometimes you just want to raid some tombs, explore uncharted regions, or embark for a last hurrah.

Let's head towards the Kharidian Desert for our first destination Kharid-Et. This ancient fortress was built near the Duel Arena and served as a stronghold and headquarters for Zaros army. It fell to the constant assault of Zamorakian forces during The God Wars. Although the site was previously thought to have been abandoned by all Zarosian friends, the site's director Dr. Nabnik (an unknown doctor), knows better.

Following your first certification Level 5 Archaeology is unlocked. This is the place where you will begin your journey. You need not worry, however, as this is not a site for interns to use. In the vaults beneath you, there are excavated Zarosian weapons and extravagant religious objects that are related to Zaros, and you will unearth scrolls of ancient knowledge.

The next stop is the eastern coast Morytania. Modern Morytania is dark and brimming with blood-sucking horrors. But, this area was once a stronghold of Saradominists. Their crown jewel was the Icyene settlement at Everlight. At its heart was the Everlight itself, a massive lighthouse which illuminated the coast and provided much needed light to the Icyene who lived here.
