NFL Draft trade rumors 2022: The 11 most likely scenarios to move up, down in Round 1 from lucy blair's blog

The one constant of the 2022 NFL Draft order has been change, starting with the first round. Since a little before last year's draft, 11 of the 32 picks have already moved from one team to another, in some case multiple times.

That means while eight teams will go on the clock twice for now on the night of April 28, just as many teams don't have a selection. Houston Texans Jerseys  Given all the movement before mid April, don't expect that to remain status quo up and down the board.

For a team to use assets to trade up, it must target a particular player of great value, either early or late. For a team to slide down, it is more interested in having a better combination of quality and quantity.

Based on those factors, here's looking at the most likely trade scenarios that have the potential to further shake up Round 1:

Lions trade down from No. 2 to get even more picks for rebuild
Detroit is sitting on nine selections in the draft, including two first-rounders with No. 32 also in the bag from the big Matthew Stafford trade with the Rams. The Lions have many needs but offensive line, with several elite prospects available there at second overall, isn't one of them.

Should Aidan Hutchinson go off the board at No. 1 to the Jaguars, it would make sense for them to entice a team wanting Chicago White Sox Jersey a particular offensive tackle or enamored with a unique player such as safety Kyle Hamilton. It all comes down to whether the Lions love either Kayvon Thibodeaux or Travon Walker enough as an edge rusher to take either that high.

Giants use No. 5 and/or No. 7 to trade down for extra first-round assets again
The Giants have a new GM in Joe Schoen, but don't be surprised if he follows predecessor Dave Gettleman in moving down for a second consecutive year. New York's most appealing positions are offensive line and edge rusher. Those also are two of the draft's deepest positions and the team can get good potential starter value in the middle of the first round. The goal will be trying to finagle another bonus top-32 pick for either 2022 or 2023.Falcons trade down from No. 8 to team that wants first shot at a QB
The Falcons, much like the Lions and Giants, are in a combination of rebuilding and house-cleaning mode. They should also any welcome any opportunity for extra picks for GM Terry Fontenot. They also should know the post-Russell Wilson Seahawks are sitting behind them at No. 9, and some team may want to get ahead of that pick to take its potential franchise quarterback of choice, Malik Willis or Kenny Pickett.

Vikings trade down from No. 12 with their preferred WR off the board
Minnesota might get excited about pairing either Ohio State product, Chris Olave or Garrett Wilson, at wide receiver with Justin Jefferson as a co-No. 1 with Adam Thielen starting to fade with Cincinnati Bengals Jerseys  injury and age. But there's an equal chance new GM Kwesi Adofo-Mensah works a deal to add picks for his team's own retooling.

Saints use No. 16 and/or No. 19 to trade up for a QB
This type of move has been speculated since the Saints made the trade with the Eagles to get up to two first-round picks in early in April. According to the draft trade value chart, those two first-rounders give New Orleans the power to move all the way to No. 5, which would please the Giants. No one would be shocked if they jump on Willis or Pickett to upgrade from the Jameis Winston-Andy Dalton bridge QB situation.
