Vicki And Tom's Rustic Farm Wedding from Vinctor's blog

This relaxed farmhouse wedding joined together in just four months. "Tom and I lived several roads aside from each other but we weirdly never knew one another," says Vicki. "We only really started speaking as we bumped into one another at a bar and recognized each other. Seven years later… here I am!"

A SUNSET PROPOSAL

Tom proposed in July 2018 in Santorini. "It's an enchanting place," says Vicki. "He made a memory book and gave it in my experience in our private flat. When I reached the final page, he got recorded on one knee there was the important question! He then offered me a dress that he'd bought before the holiday and said he'd booked a cafe or restaurant to watch the stunning Santorini sunset. Amazing!"

WEDDING DRESSES FEELTIMES

Vicki bought her dress at FeelTimes online store. "I only took my mother beside me and we had the very best experience," she says. "The staff were so friendly and helpful. I said yes to Archer bohemian wedding dress, the 3rd dress I tried on."

A CHANGE OF DATE AND COUNTRY…

"To cut an extended story short, because of COVID, our eventual big day was actually on our third date and within our second country," says Vicki. "Originally we were because of getting married in Ireland in August 2020 but we'd to keep postponing. Eventually, we chose to change this to possess a small intimate wedding in Devon and arranged another wedding in four months!" Go

GLAMPING AND A ‘HOBBIT’ HOUSE

"As it had been a very stressful journey, we wanted a relaxed venue where we're able to add our very own touches. We chose Higher Holcombe, an adorable barn in Honiton, Devon, that included a farmhouse and glamping accommodation. The best part was that the wedding couple also get in which to stay a 'hobbit house' for that night of the marriage! We finally got married on 20th May 2021."

THE BIG DAY

"I loved the morning of our wedding," says Vicki. "I awoke in the farmhouse with my mother and bridesmaids after which spent the morning getting pampered. My father then joined us, before all of us traveled towards the church inside a vintage VW camper van."

After the ceremony, everyone headed back towards the venue for photos, canapés, and bubbly. "Our main meal would be a BBQ inside because the weather wasn't nice and it rained a great deal!" says Vicki. "The speeches were short and sweet, then we'd our first dance."

"As I was unable to get married in Ireland, we chose green, white, and gold decor and flowers to celebrate my Irish heritage," says Vicki.

"Our favors included a scratch card for that man and wildflower seeds for that woman. Tom and I chose to have stacks of cheese as our cake, once we love cheese. It was amazing!"

"We didn't possess a band, because of restrictions, therefore we asked our guests to transmit songs and made a playlist to match everyone's taste in music. Then we danced the nighttime away while enjoying pizza from the pizza van, which transpired a treat!"

MY TOP TIPS…

"Enjoy every moment, because the day goes incredibly fast!"

VICKI’S DREAM TEAM

"As we simply had four months to plan another wedding, I had to do a great deal of Instagram searching," says Vicki. "Our suppliers were amazing and incredibly patient around."
